Salman Khurshid, then Union law minister, said at last year's Godfrey Phillips National Bravery Awards ceremony held in Chandigarh, "We are here to celebrate acts of courage." The suave Khurshid, currently external affairs minister, didn't feel out of place and was at his eloquent best. Celebrating valour is indeed an honourable intent, but what raises eyebrows is the corporation behind these awards, and the apparent endorsers of such sponsorships.
