ANDOVER — An effort to make purchasing and selling tobacco in town tougher will soon be the topic of a public hearing.
The Board of Health next week will invite public comment on a series of proposals that looks to raise the legal age for buying tobacco in town from 18 to 21 and also place a cap on the number of establishments in Andover permitted to sell tobacco.
The hearing is set for Monday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. in Memorial Hall Library, 2 North Main St.
