E-cigarettes banned from Hawaii state buildings

Some call e-cigs the iPod of smoking.

This new device of delivering a nicotine fix is fast becoming popular as the use of cigarettes and tobacco is waning.

Earlier this year state health officials made e-cigs off limits at its downtown office, but now that policy is being adopted at other state buildings across the state.

Health Director Linda Rosen says tests show vapors or aerosols from e-cigarettes contain nicotine, toxic chemicals and other carcinogens that are just as harmful as secondhand smoke from regular cigarettes.
