Westborough health board tackles tobacco regulations
WESTBOROUGH — A ban on the sale of electronic cigarettes to minors is among some of the changes proposed to Westborough’s tobacco regulations.
The Board of Health Tuesday began discussing potential revisions to the town’s tobacco policies, last updated in 2001.
"One of the big things these days is e-cigarettes," Sanitarian Steve Baccari said.
Baccari told the board the state is urging towns to regulate e-cigarettes as they would tobacco products by keeping them behind the counter and only selling them to buyers over the age of 18 who can present valid identification.
