Tobacco and drugs: bad for teenage brains
CONCORD - The public is invited to attend a free presentation Thursday by Dr. Victor DeNoble aimed at raising awareness of the extreme addiction of tobacco products and other drugs.
The presentation is from 6-7 p.m. at the Willow Center, 1026 Mohr Lane in Concord. Refreshments will be served from 5:30-6 p.m., before the program begins.
DeNoble researched nicotine addiction at the Philip Morris Tobacco Company from 1980-1984. In 1994, he became a whistle-blower and was a key witness in the federal government's case against the tobacco industry. More information is available by calling 925-682-8000 ext. 4025.
