June 30 to be Last Day for Open Display of Tobacco Products
May 31 will be celebrated as the World No Tobacco Day. In the spirit of celebrating the day, the Cancer Council will be encouraging over 750 NSW tobacconists for initiating the practice of terminating the use of display hoardings of cigarettes and tobacco in front side of their shops.

This will be initiating as a part of alterations that are brought forward in the upcoming months. It is suggested that June 30 will be the last day that will be witnessing the sight of the display of tobacco products to the public.

On the following day, no tobacco hoardings will be displayed in front of shops. However, these restrictions will be removed on some occasions such as the time when the staff is serving the patrons or the time when the shopkeepers are re-arranging the stocks in their shops.
