BAREILLY: School going children chewing tobacco has become a common sight and this practice needs to be curbed, said the district inspector of school (DIOS) on Tuesday as he instructed all the government schools in the district to ban tobacco from the school premises.
The move is expected to discourage the bad habit among students as well as teachers and contribute towards cleaner school premises.
In this regard, the DIOS issued orders to the principals of all schools and asked then to take strict action against the offenders.
According to reports, classroom walls filled with tobacco stains will be a rare sight if the DIOS instructions are implemented.
