‘Be Start Don’t Start’ Tobacco Prevention Program

WTNH)– Executive Director Don Maleto and Boys & Girls Club Members Jessica Villegas and Amanda Latorre talk about the Be Smart Don’t Start education and prevention tobacco program.

They discuss the local efforts of the clubs in getting the word out to the members not to smoke. Clubs held a video competition having members state why it is smart not to start smoking.

Boys & Girls Clubs began in Connecticut serve 25,000 members. They have 16 organizations serving 39 towns and cities.
