Anti-smoking group hits film
What do Leonardo Dicaprio, Woody Allen, and Johnny Depp all have in common? The Hollywood icons have been named "Shame" award recipients by Reality Check, a statewide anti-tobacco youth group.
The organization, which includes a local chapter from Albany, Schenectady and Rensselaer counties, has been working for almost 10 years to help expose what it deems to be Hollywood's encouragement of tobacco use. Reality Check's International Week of Action kicks off Monday in advance of the 86th Academy Awards on March 2 as the organization bestows its annual "Fame" and "Shame" awards.
