Tobacco Free Hall County raises awareness against E-cigs
Electronic cigarettes are often hailed as a safe alternative to their traditional counterpart.
They look very similar, but e-cigarettes have quite a few differences.
One of those being, they're not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration.
Tobacco Free Hall County wants people to know that just because e-cigarettes aren't regulated doesn't mean they're safer.
Dr. Copur with St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island says they're highly addictive because they deliver strong doses of nicotine.
Though they're not yet regulated, the FDA has said it intends on extending its jurisdiction to cover e-cigarettes as well.
