Officials call on next generation to control tobacco use

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Hundreds of New York State tobacco control leaders are gathering in the city Wednesday to advocate for tobacco control programs.

NO SMOKINGActivists will be gathering at the Empire State Plaza, offering information on the toll tobacco use takes on residents in the state.

Acting New York State Health Commissioner, Dr. Howard Zucker will be there along with Dr. Ursula Bauer of the CDC. They’ll be calling on the next generation in New York to support the measures.

The event starts at 9:30a.m. Wednesday morning.
