Company selling sunflower seeds as substitute for tobacco

BOULDER, Colo. -- Boulder-based BIGS Sunflower Seeds is gearing up for a big weekend at the ballpark.

It has shipped six-gallon buckets of sunflower seeds to 10 Major League Baseball stadiums, including Coors Field.

It's giving the seeds to venues where smokeless tobacco is or will likely be banned.

It wants people to consider sunflower seeds as a substitution for smokeless tobacco. They come in various flavors, like dill pickle and ranch.
