A new law prohibits all tobacco use on school property and vehicles at all times.
Students and teachers at schools across Green Country could soon be breathing in cleaner air.
Monday, Governor Mary Fallin announced a new law that will prohibit smoking at all times on school grounds.
Previously, laws allowed smoking in designated smoking areas outside schools around the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Now, smoking will be banned 24/7.
Parents and students said they agree schools should be tobacco free.
“I think it’s good for them to implement that into the school system,” said Ashley Brown, a parent of three children at Tulsa Public Schools.
